Konica cf3102 Banding/Streaking

Hey everyone,

I've got a cf3102 that I inherited from my former company, but it's producing some streaking in the prints. Doesn't matter what thickness, doesn't matter what size. See the attachment for an example of what's happening. I've cleaned the electrostatic on the IUs, but the problem is still there. The unit has about 28000 prints on it.

Any ideas, direction, or help is very appreciated.

Thanks,

-Brent

make a copy in single color mode for all the colors. cmyk. that may lead to the problem developer or if this machine has individual drums.

I am not an expert on this model, but the streaks look more from yellow or cyan.

Good idea, and done. What I found is that the pattern exists on three out of the four prints (all except yellow), most prominent on black, and it could be that it's not showing up on yellow just because it's such a light color.

For the prints it's showing up on, the banding is in the same place on each page, which tells me it's not the imaging units. I'm no expert on these machines at all, but I guess it could either be the fuser or transfer belt.

Thanks for the help so far, and please let me know if you have any other ideas.

-Brent

make a copy and stop it after transfer and prior to the fuser. that may help determine the location of the image fault.

to clarify, are these internal prints or are these copies?
if copy only - looks like a IPU problem

Sorry--been out of town for a bit...

These are internal prints, not copies.

How do I do that? I'm not sure I can with this thing.

Make a copy, listen for the registration clutch and open the door?
